This Cookie Policy explains how JVS Health, LLC ("JVS Health," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on https://www.jvshealth.com (the "Site"), and how you can control them.

It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

3. Categories of Cookies We Use

Strictly necessary

Required for the Site to function. They enable core features such as page navigation, security, load balancing, and submitting forms. These cannot be switched off through our cookie controls, because the Site will not work without them. They do not require your consent.

Includes cookies set by our website platform, Squarespace.

Functional and preference

Remember choices you make so the Site behaves the way you expect — for example, remembering that you dismissed a notice. Losing these will not break the Site, but parts of it may be less convenient.

Analytics and performance

Help us understand how visitors find and use the Site — which pages are viewed, how long people stay, where they arrive from, and where they encounter difficulty. We use this to improve the experience for caregivers.

We use Google Analytics for this purpose. Google processes this data on our behalf under its own terms and privacy policy.

Advertising and targeting

Used to measure whether our advertising is reaching people who are looking for dementia caregiving support, and to avoid showing the same ads repeatedly. These may be set by advertising platforms and may be used to show you our ads on other websites and apps.

We use the Meta (Facebook) pixel for this purpose.

We do not use cookies to build profiles about your health, and we do not use them to sell your personal information.

4. Third Parties That May Set Cookies

Some services we rely on set their own cookies. They are governed by their own privacy policies, and we do not control them:

5. How to Control Cookies

Blocking all cookies will prevent parts of this Site from working, including forms and scheduling.

Opting out of analytics and advertising

  • Google Analytics offers a browser add-on that prevents its analytics from collecting your activity.

  • Meta provides ad preference controls in your account settings that let you limit how your activity is used for advertising.

  • Industry opt-out tools operated by the Digital Advertising Alliance and the Network Advertising Initiative let you opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies.

Opting out stops personalized advertising. It does not stop you from seeing ads.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

Some browsers and extensions send a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. Where required by applicable state law, we treat a GPC signal as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.

There is no common industry standard for interpreting Do Not Track browser signals, and we do not currently respond to them separately.

6. Cookies and Your Health Information

The pages of this Site that anyone can visit are general information and scheduling pages. We do not intentionally transmit information about your health, a diagnosis, or your Medicare coverage to advertising or analytics providers through cookies.

Where JVS Health acts as a HIPAA covered entity or business associate, protected health information is governed by HIPAA and by our Notice of Privacy Practices, which is provided separately and controls over this Policy in the event of a conflict.

Please do not include medical details in general website forms. If we need clinical information, we will tell you how to provide it securely.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as our Site and the services we use change. The effective date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be posted on this page.
